My submission for the Astoria Downtown Historic District Association.

Project 3, the living space
Well I would say we’re getting close to being finished! Not that i’m ever really finished because I always have little plans in my head to make things better… but I would say we are close to feeling like we’re HOME, which is very very exciting…
So here are some views of the living room (and my office space).
Also we did a little refinishing project (which I’m pretty certain led to my neck getting knocked out of place, but don’t worry… all better now.
So here is a before of the dresser (this isn’t the actual one, but this is what they emailed us on craigslist… which is kinda weird, but whatever)…

So we busted out some paint and wood stain that we already had & gave it some love. Then we ordered some new pulls online (that were literally on 99cents a piece!) The fancy ones were bought at Vintage Hardware in Astoria for I think $5 each… I had intended them for the kitchen before I realized that the kitchen need pulls, not knobs… and voila! It’s like a whole new piece of furniture! We intended for it to be upstairs in the closet, but we liked it so much we decided to leave it downstairs where everyone could see it!
P.S. This bad boy was $15 bucks on craigslist!!!! Woot!

Project 2: A happy kitchen.
Oh happy happy kitchen… I don’t think i’ve ever been more in a love with a kitchen…It just screams “COOK HERE!” We are so smitten with this kitchen…. sure it could use some new cupboards, but we’ll probably give all the bottom ones a splash of paint soon. The turquoise ones were my project. The adorable pulls were found at Anthropologie in their clearance section and I couldn’t resist. I don’t know if I ever want to leave this kitchen.

Bedroom
Project number 1 complete… I was a little nervous when we started painting the wall that color… it seemed a LOT brighter than the swatch we picked out. However, after two coats, I LOVE it! And it goes with all our stuff. The lamp shade I made from an old skirt and the rug we found on ebay this winter. Hooray! Project number 2, the kitchen, soon to come!
xoxoxo

New Save the Date: Sarah and Mike
I’ve recently had the pleasure of working Sarah and Mike, a lovely couple living in Indianapolis, Indiana.
I love when a couple wants to use a non-traditional color scheme…. makes it all the more fun for the designer! These Save the Dates turned out so ornate, yet organic. I’m so happy with the finished product…and they are too ♥

Save The Date
Recently my BFF mentioned that now living on her refrigerator door are 5 Save the Dates that I designed! Soon there will be a 6th…. It’s a little crazy for me to absorb that I’ve contributed in a little way to 6 weddings in the last ohhhh year and a half. I really and truthfully view it as an honor. How fun it has been to make them all. I love that each one has such a different style.
