Now that i’m pseudo-irish (hey the hubby is 100%), I feel a little luck rubbing off my direction. Last night we got the most splendid phone call… My sis-in-law was at our old apartment and guess what she found? My Fellas Ring! He lost it wayyyy back on Thanksgiving Day! We thought it was long long gone. At the time he way helping a Christmas Tree man schlep trees across our fine city. We really 100% thought the ring came off at some point and was hanging on someones branches… but no, 4 months later it was found… on the floor…by the dustpan… I assure you I looked hi and low for that bad boy, but to no avail! What a happy day!

Liberty of London for Target Pillow

This collaboration makes me happy. I can’t wait to get to the Brooklyn Target to check it out. My friend Krista first told me about Liberty when I was in the trenches of wedding planning. They have such lovely prints, but I did find it a little tricky to find their fabric for an affordable price here in the city. I’m really excited to see what the whole Target line is like and see if the quality is what I’m hoping it will be.

Some of you already know, but it’s been a tough couple of weeks for my husband and I. Our little baby, Luna, our dachshund passed away. It was really unexpected and happened so quickly. We’ve been grieving her loss. As many of you know since we adopted her, she brought enormous joy to our lives. I mean, I even have a dachsie in my logo… helloooo…

Losing a pet is incredibly hard. I know if you are not a pet owner, you might think it’s not such a hardship…. but let me assure you, it’s one of the toughest things I’ve gone through in my life. She was a very important member of our small young family and will be dearly missed. She was my snuggle buddy, my night time blanket, and the most loving, caring little soul when I was having a tough day. Dogs are truly remarkable creatures and we were very blessed to spend time with her, even if not long enough. We miss you LuLu and your songs and kisses and toe biting… xoxo

Ohhhh tatttoos….how can you stop, once you’ve begun? They can be so lovely and personal and artistic. They can be who you are and who you aren’t at once. I really really love Jessica Hische’s work and aesthetic… oh yeah, and check out her rad tat

I would change the red to turquoise instead. I actually emailed her and she was really awesome and said to email her photos after so she can post to her blog. Some other tattoos i’ve loved for a while now:
