I was born and raised in a tiny Ohio town. After high school I moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan to attend Aquinas College. I lived in Germany for a bit during college. After coming back, I earned a BA in Interdisciplinary Communication focused in Advertising. I also had minors in German and Fine Art. Then in 2005 I moved to Brooklyn, New York to start studying graphic design at Pratt Institute. I graduated in 2007. I spent 2007 until summer 2010 as a full-time graphic designer in Manhattan creating package and promotional design. In June 2010 my husband and I packed up and relocated to the Northern coast in Oregon. Since April we have been living downtown Portland, Oregon and are loving every second of it! I am now an independent freelance designer. I love crafts, travel, music, my family and friends.
I am a driven creative professional with excellent interpersonal communication skills and quality customer service experience. I work best while managing multiple projects simultaneously, and design for a wide array of industries and audiences. I also have a background in negotiation and procurement. I have worked in package design, logo & identity design, branding design, publication design, advertising design, production design, and creating full wedding design packages.
