Hello Chilly…

Since we’ve arrived in Oregon, it’s been a little… well hmmm, a lot chilly for June. Everyone we’ve been talking to says that it’s actually a unseasonably chilly for this time of year. I have yet to wear anything but long pants and long sleeve shirts. I guess maybe I shouldn’t have invested in those sun dresses? Hmmm anyways, it’s actually the PERFECT weather for working out. I have been going on long hilly walks and let me tell you, nothing cools you down like a crisp breeze off the pacific. IMG_0766
Last weekend we also checked out the Astoria Sunday Market. There were tons of local crafts and art, as well as fruits, veggies and TONS of seafood. We picked up some farm fresh eggs. The yolks are SO much more richly colored than store bought eggs.

We made some yummy homemade pizza and a great salad topped with our hardboiled eggs. Delish! IMG_0779

I’ll take the chilly Pacific Northwest anytime! Hot and muggy in NYC today? You can have it.

LOVE the pizza pic (makin’ me hungry.) Save some for me!

Thanks Nancy, yeah the chilly has been a nice break. The only bad thing is living next to the ocean but it’s too cold to swim in it.

Us Ohioians think that you can swim in the Pacific till me get out here. Hope you are loving your new digs Heidi!

Whazzup! Sounds like you are getting acclimated to what looks like a fabulously peaceful existence. It looks like worlds away from frantic NYC. Enjoy, I miss you guys.

Chilly? Oh my! What are you going to do this winter when the wind comes whipping over the water straight at you? Blankets, hot chocolate and each other, of course. In the meantime, enjoy! enjoy! What a perfectly beautiful place to live.

I know! It made up to 64 again today =) I can see why people here drink LOTS of coffee and LOTS of beer (my two favorite things! HOORAY!)

Beautiful pictures… I love the top one with the water – very tranquil looking. I wouldn’t mind the cooler temps, it’s hot here in Michigan too – yuck!
